      Plan a rigid CNC table

CNC Table Planner designs a very stiff wooden table for a desktop CNC router — Onefinity, Shapeoko, AltMill, LongMill, X-Carve and more. Pick your machine and it sizes the top with room for the drag chain, sets the height for you, and builds a frame of laminated legs and glued, bolted aprons and stretchers. Then it shows how far the top would move when the gantry jerks, for each kind of bracing, because any flex in the table shows up in your cuts.

      1. Pick your machine

Its footprint and weight set the top and the loads. Measure yours and adjust.

      2. Fit it to you

Enter your height: the machine bed lands a few inches below your elbow.

      3. Make it rigid

Shear panels, X-braces or knee braces — the rigidity score compares them.

      4. Check, buy and build

Fix anything the fit check flags, then work from the plans, sheet layouts, cut list, shopping list and build steps.
